01 Jul Fundraising for SUCH AN HONOR
In less than two weeks, we begin production on SUCH AN HONOR, a scifi short film about an aging actress who must choose whether or not to buck the trend of upgrading to a synthetic body in 2050.
Like RETCH, our film that premiered at Seattle International Film Festival last month, this film is set to be thought-provoking and impactful. As the real world gets more disturbing, our form of resistance is genre filmmaking that encourages thought and discussion around major issues. This time the topic is women’s bodily autonomy.
We’ve got an award-winning script, brilliant crew (helmed by writer/director Nicole Pouchet, producer Monica Valenzuela producing, and producer/actress Angela DiMarco), and talented cast.
All we need now is your help. Can you contribute to our film fund to help pay for the cast/crew’s work, location costs, insurance fees, etc.? Every amount from $5 on up helps, especially when lots of you contribute. (Major donations trigger various “producer” level status. Get in touch if that’s of interest.)
We are using Facebook and PayPal for contributions this time around. It’s quick for you, a lot less stressful and expensive than donation platforms for us, and allows us to pay expenses as they arise throughout the campaign. Everyone who contributes will get a link to the completed film, an invitation to our private “friends and family” premiere, recognition in the film credits, and our eternal gratitude.
